Could Your Van Double Up As A Family Car?

It’s quite interesting hearing a friend talk about his new van that he recently had just taken delivery of.

He had owned his previous three vans but had decided to look into leasing for the first time ever after it was recommended to him by someone in the similar line of work to him.

After making some enquiries, he found that there were some fantastic van leasing deals around and having his own business also meant that he could offset the rental price against the business each month as well as reclaim the VAT back too.  Making good sense, he decided to set about choosing the type of van that would suit his needs.

Having three children and an average sized family car meant it was difficult if they ever wanted to head off for the afternoon on a bike ride as they couldn’t fit all the bikes on the back of the car so a van with 5 seats plus space in the back seemed the ideal solution.

He looked around at several different van types before deciding on a Volkswagen Transporter with 2 rows of seating and plenty of storage in the back so it could also double up as a family car if needed at the weekends.  He was also able to specify how to have the back kitted out with storage to carry all the necessary tools and things for work too.

The whole family are more than pleased with daddy’s new choice of van as it means they can throw all their bikes in the back and head off out for the day.

Bringing The Outdoors Indoors

We recently decided that it was about time we spent some time and money making our conservatory more like a second lounge now that our two boys no longer need it as a playroom.

It was the perfect room for a playroom but they have now reached the age where they don’t really play with toys anymore and are more into their gadgets like their TV games consoles and their handheld games which take up hardly any room compared to the builders workbenches and wooden train track that used to be set up here there and everywhere!

When you have the sun shining through the glass roof and the doors open into the garden, it really feels like you are relaxing on holiday.

We are really not sure what colour to choose and having a cream sofa and a cream carpet any colour would go in the room.  We are stuck between red and orange and green.  We think the colour green would bring the garden into the room, particularly the orange and red in the autumn.

There are so many beautiful rugs and some lovely red cushion covers along with orange and green ones too, it really does make it much harder to try and decide on what colour scheme to go with.

At the end of the day, no matter which colour we choose, the room will certainly look a whole lot better than it does now and we look forward to spending many lazy family Sundays in it.

Car Leasing

Car Leasing is becoming increasingly popular thanks to many of the fantastic car leasing deals being offered.

There are many benefits that come with car leasing particularly the low monthly payments and the fact that you don’t have to hand over a large deposit like when you are buying your own car. Many car leasing companies will usually just ask you for 3 x the monthly payment.

When you take out a contract hire for your vehicle, unlike a short term rental or daily rental, your lease is normally for between 2-5 years.  After this point you then simply hand the vehicle back or in some cases, you are given the option to buy it if you so wish.

Many car leasing companies offer maintenance in the contract which includes all bills for any repairs, tyres, servicing and parts which are all then paid for by the finance company.  Make sure you check these details with the leasing company before you sign any agreement so you are fully aware of what is and what isn’t included in your contract.

Leasing a car also gives you the chance of driving a car that you might never have been able to afford if you had purchased it.  Cars such as Audi, Mini, BMW, Mercedes and Honda hold their value well so they are much better value cars to lease.

So choose to lease a BMW and you could be the envy of all your friends!

Home Accessories

I love it when a friend asks if I fancy a day out full of shopping and lunch……my perfect day, well I think most ladies would agree it’s theirs too!

When it comes to shopping for the home, one of my best friends has a real eye for interior decorating and thankfully I have definitely picked up some of her handy little tips over the years.

Her house is like a show home from the colours of the cushions, curtains and matching rugs to the beautiful towels in the bathrooms that she always manages to spot which I never do!

She used to be a window dresser for a major high street store so all the training and years of experience has certainly paid off.  Don’t think I am the only friend who has called upon her services either!

It is certainly difficult when you have young children in the home to keep things nice and tidy and have lovely items dotted around.  Even though many people have a play room unfortunately they toys don’t seem to stay contained in there and have a tendency to move into the lovely “adults only room”.

Never mind, in 20 odd years we won’t have to worry about picking up the toys but wish we still were!
